Moments Between Light and Time
My paintings explore those quiet moments when light changes, emotions shift, and the world feels suspended between what has been and what is about to become.

"Even with uncertainty, light has the power to emerge."

About Lori
Based in Michigan, I am a self-taught abstract artist working primarily in acrylic and oil.
My atmospheric paintings are built through layers of color, texture, and light, often suggesting landscapes without defining a specific place.
I am drawn to moments that feel suspended between stillness and movement, clarity and uncertainty.
Rather than tell viewers what to see,
I want the work to invite them to slow down, look closely, and discover something of their own within it.

Painting has taught me that clarity rarely arrives all at once. Like light, it reveals itself one layer at a time.

Finding My Voice
I have slowly discovered that my art serves as my most authentic voice.
For years, I explored my canvas without a clear destination, simply drawn to the interplay of light, vast horizons, and those ethereal spaces where the past meets the future.
I do not create because I possess the answers; rather, I paint to seek them out.
Every piece represents a meaningful step in my evolution—an exploration of transition, doubt, and the resilient hope that slowly reveals itself through every brushstroke.
I often find the true meaning of a work only after the final layer has dried.
My ultimate wish is for these paintings to provide a serene sanctuary where you can stop, breathe, and perhaps recognize a piece of your own story reflected in the colors.
