Behind the Painting
Where Light Remains began as a small study without a specific landscape in mind. As I worked, a distant horizon began to emerge from the colors and shapes, suggesting a place I hadn't intentionally set out to create.

Once I recognized it, I chose not to define the landscape too clearly. I wanted to preserve the subtlety of that discovery, allowing the painting to remain somewhere between abstraction and a sense of place.

That unexpected landscape stayed with me. It would later become the starting point for First Light, where I returned to the idea and explored it with greater depth and distance.
