Celestial Drift

Celestial Drift began with the intention of creating something that felt celestial. I wanted the painting to suggest a vast, atmospheric space filled with movement, while remaining abstract rather than depicting a specific cosmic scene.

I introduced the yellow and white as the focal point, imagining the moment of a star being born. Against the deeper greens and blues, the brighter forms seemed to gather energy and move through the surrounding darkness.

As the painting developed, that movement began to feel suspended and drifting—light and energy taking shape within an expansive field. Celestial Drift became my interpretation of a moment of creation: something luminous emerging where, just before, there had only been darkness.
