Behind the Painting

Quiet Clearing began with the palette. I wanted the colors to feel muted and calm, with subtle movement rather than stillness—something quietly shifting beneath the surface.

At the time, I had begun to reach an understanding of where I was and what I was dealing with in my life. The circumstances hadn't necessarily changed, but my relationship to them had. I was no longer struggling against everything quite so hard. The internal noise was beginning to clear.

There was hope in that quiet. I didn't have complete clarity about what came next, but a plan for the future was beginning to take shape. Quiet Clearing reflects that place of acceptance—not an ending, but a calmer space where I could finally begin to imagine what might come next.
