Emerging Radiance

Emerging Radiance developed through layers of color and movement. I worked with greens, earth tones, and muted passages, allowing the forms to build and shift until areas of light began to emerge from within the painting.

As I continued working, the lighter center became increasingly important. Rather than sitting on the surface, the light seemed to be making its way through the surrounding color—gradually illuminating what had been obscured.

That sense of light revealing itself gave the painting its title. Emerging Radiance captures a moment when something begins to brighten from within, not fully revealed, but unmistakably present.
