Portal to the Soul

Portal to the Soul began with an exploration of color and movement. I loved the energy that was developing and followed the direction of the painting without knowing exactly where it would lead.

As I worked, I began to notice an opening within the movement of the composition. It felt like a portal, drawing me inward. I realized that I was leaning into myself—exploring rather than simply creating an image.

The “soul” in the title refers to my mind's eye, that internal place I enter when I paint. Portal to the Soul became a reflection of that experience: following the painting inward and discovering what was waiting there.
